Yansı Eraslan has been the President of Özel Ege Lisesi since February 1998. He is the founder and chairman of the board of IMS Polymers, founder of Eraslan Foundation, a member of Private Schools Association of Türkiye and Turkish Society for Quality (KalDer). He served at the executive board of Private Schools Association of Turkey, represented the Education Committee at the Assembly of İzmir Chamber of Commerce and was a member of Education Board of the Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Maritime Trade and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey.
Eraslan currently teaches AP (Advanced Placement) Comparative Government and Politics, and Leadership, Management and Change at Özel Ege Lisesi. Between 1997-2011, he taught Financial Management, International Finance and Leadership, Management and Change at the departments of Economics, Business Administration and International Relations of Ege University and at the department of Industrial Engineering of Dokuz Eylül University in İzmir.
With the thesis of “Inflation and Its Effects on Corporations”, he took his undergraduate degree from the department of Industrial Engineering of Dokuz Eylül University, İzmir. He is a Beta Gamma Sigma graduate of the MBA program of The University of Connecticut. During the second year of his graduate study, he was granted a research assistantship and also was awarded a scholarship by Hartford Financial Analysts Association.
Yansı Eraslan completed his next graduate study at Harvard Graduate School of Education and received his Ed.M. degree in International Education Policy. Having done research on the education policies of developed and developing nations, he wrote about two dozen papers on educational issues.
Eraslan made his final graduate study at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government as Edward S. Mason Fellow in Public Policy and Management, and received his MPA degree. His personal areas of interest were microeconomics, macroeconomics, leadership, negotiation analysis and international relations. During his study, he had the chance to make extensive research on various world issues, starting from national security, development policy and global governance. Yansı Eraslan is author of numerous papers on the mentioned areas.
A frequent speaker on educational issues and leadership, Mr. Eraslan has numerous articles published in local and national newspapers and in different publications. His goal is to train enlightened youngsters who will work in important positions all over the globe. He is married to Ebru Eraslan and they live in İzmir with their son Kerim (his wife Birtem and son Kemal) and daughter Nur (her husband Bartu).
